For Public Office Candidates and Political Parties
This page provides guidance on the procedures for requesting the removal of information if defamatory content is published in documents or images used for election campaigning or negative campaigning during the election period through our services.
Public office candidates and political parties wishing to request the removal of such content may do so under the "Special Provisions for Public Office Candidates, etc." of the Provider Liability Limitation Act, following the methods outlined below.
Applicable Information
The information eligible for procedures under the "Special Provisions for Public Office Candidates, etc." of the Provider Liability Limitation Act must meet all of the following criteria.
Information distributed during the election campaign period (from the official announcement date to the day before the election day).
Information contained in documents or images used for election campaigning or negative campaigning.
Information that infringes on the honor of public office candidates, etc.
Procedure
Please prepare the required documents and send them by mail to the address below.

Notification of Defamatory Information and Request for Content Transmission Prevention
Certificate of Seal Registration of the candidate (issued within the last 3 months)
[In the case of a request from a political party, etc.]

Certificate of Seal Registration for the official seal of the political party (issued within the last 3 months) or A copy of the candidate registration document submitted by the political party (only those accepted by the election committee)
Power of attorney from the candidate or political party, etc.
